Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Associate

– This role will report to our Corporate Strategy and Finance Director and is remote flexible.

– You will partner closely with our accounting, support, and sales team to manage our North American customer accounts through our payment platform (Stripe, HubSpot, and Shopify).
– Set up subscriptions and invoices, run account maintenance, payment collection, and general administrative tasks utilizing stripe, shopify, HubSpot and other payment processing systems.
– Manage inbound billing phone calls, emails, and chats in a timely manner,
with empathy, and attention to detail.
– Proactively call unengaged, non-paying customers to bring their hardware online, bring their billing up to date, or churn their account.
– Follow communication guidelines and SOPs when handling different customer inquiries and topics.
– Build sustainable relationships with customers and go the extra mile to engage them and collect feedback.

– Keep detailed records of all customer conversations and interactions in the company’s CRM, Hubspot. Ensure all Hubspot records you work with are updated according to our guidelines.
– Assist with customer escalations and utilize provided de-escalation tactics to retain the account.

– Degree in accounting, or a related field.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
– Minimum 3+ years experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or billing support, preferably at an early-stage technology company.
– Minimum 1+ years experience in billing and customer support.
– Google Suite/Microsoft Office proficient (Excel, Word), Slack
– Experience working with, Stripe, Shopify, Chargebee / Ordway or a similar billing software platform and customer support systems like Hubspot and Zendesk
– Can clearly articulate technical solutions and understand technical issues.
– Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and draw insights.
– Phone communication roles required.
– Strong interpersonal skills with the aptitude to drive collaboration and solve complex customer issues.
– Ability to translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand language.
– Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
– Self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
– Knowledge of AI technologies such as Chat GPT to augment the support team activities
– Hubspot knowledge is deeply preferred.
