About Us
We’re a strategy-led digital transformation firm specializing in composable commerce and intelligent automation. We partner with mid-market and enterprise organizations on high-stakes technology decisions, from platform evaluation and roadmap development through implementation and ongoing optimization.
We don’t lead with speed or platform hype. We establish clarity before commitment, sequence delivery to reduce risk, and stay accountable well beyond launch day. Our Order Operations practice covers order management systems, fulfillment workflows and the post-purchase experience, with delivery teams across the US, Latin America, India and Canada.

About the role
You will be the functional bridge between an enterprise retail client’s business teams and the IBM Sterling Order Management platform that runs their omnichannel order flow. Orders from ecommerce, stores and call center all pass through it, so your work directly affects whether customers get the right product, on time, from the right node.
The role blends enhancement work with ongoing platform support. You’ll gather and refine requirements, configure and document OMS behavior, triage production issues, and partner with developers, QA and the client’s operations teams to keep changes predictable and well understood.

What you’ll do

  • Support functional design for OMS changes across order capture, scheduling and sourcing, release, fulfillment, returns, exchanges and cancellations, in partnership with the Product Owner.
  • Configure and document Sterling OMS rules: pipelines, hold types, sourcing and distribution rules, inventory and ATP settings, and modification rules.
  • Validate integrations between OMS and surrounding systems such as ecommerce, POS, ERP, WMS, payment gateways and carriers, including reviewing and maintaining XML/JSON message specs.
  • Support omnichannel experiences including BOPIS, ship-from-store, split shipments, backorders and store-based returns.
  • Triage production incidents with the production support and development teams, reproduce issues, write SQL to investigate order data, and document root-cause analysis.
  • Write and maintain functional specs, process flows and runbooks in Confluence; keep the Jira backlog groomed and prioritized with the client Product Owner.
  • Lead requirements sessions with cross-functional stakeholders and turn them into clear user stories with acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with QA on test scenarios, support UAT, and coordinate release readiness and cutover activities.
  • Flag risks and dependencies early so delivery stays predictable.

What you bring

  • 5+ years as a Business Systems Analyst or functional consultant on enterprise retail or commerce systems.
  • 3+ years of hands-on functional experience with IBM Sterling Order Management (on-premise or OMS on Cloud), including configuration, not only requirements.
  • Solid understanding of the full order lifecycle and omnichannel fulfillment models in retail.
  • Working SQL skills (DB2, Oracle or similar) to query order, inventory and shipment data.
  • Experience reading and writing integration specs, and testing APIs with tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
  • Comfort supporting production: triaging incidents, prioritizing under pressure and communicating status clearly.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery with Jira and Confluence.
  • Advanced professional English and confidence presenting to US-based client stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience with IBM Sterling Store Engagement, Call Center, Intelligent Promising or Inventory Visibility.
  • Familiarity with Sterling extension points (user exits, custom services, agents) well enough to partner closely with developers.
  • Exposure to ecommerce platforms such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud, commercetools or Shopify, and WMS or ERP platforms such as Manhattan, SAP or Oracle.
  • Experience with log and monitoring tools such as Splunk or Dynatrace.
  • Prior consulting experience serving US enterprise clients.
  • Agile or business analysis certification (CSPO, CBAP, PMI-PBA or similar).
  • Experience with an OMS migration or a modern composable OMS such as Fluent Commerce.
