Head of Machine Learning

Opportunity
The role will serve as a key position leading AI/ML for a new technical division of a financial services advisory and strategic investing platform. This new division will sit at the center of various businesses and client service offerings. The centralized system will enable to have a data-driven enterprise function as a key component of both its investing and advisory offerings internationally.
The person we are looking for is a proven hands-on AI/ML leader with a strong financial services background. In this
role, you will lead Tech’s AI/ML area to bring about business insights to accelerate our growth through use of
AI/ML technologies. You will have an opportunity to work in close partnership with business leaders across the
organization to understand the challenges that can be solved through innovative AI/ML based solutions, and you will lead in hand-on manner to deliver those solutions.

Requirements
– Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, similar field of study or equivalent work
experience
– Experienced professional with 10+ years of experience as ML developer, architect, engineer, lead data
scientist/analyst for machine learning
– A strong record in delivering machine learning and/or data products including defining ML problems,
identifying data strategy, building ML MVP and scaling/production of a prototype to full-scale production
– Experienced with architecting, implementing, and managing ML in the cloud (Azure, GCP, AWS)
– Proficient at writing code in Python or similar interpreted languages
– Prior work with financial datasets including ecosystem APIs
– A strong understanding of both the technical aspects of machine learning as well as business needs. Ability
to bridge the gap between business and technology with respect to machine learning
– Strong communicator who can take complex ideas and methodologies, and simplify them for non-technical
audiences
