Senior Frontend Engineer – React with Remix

The role will serve as a key position for the technical division of a financial services advisory and strategic investing platform. This division sits at the center of various businesses and client service offerings. The centralized system is currently under construction.

Position Summary

As a Senior Web Engineer you’ll be a key player in the development team, responsible for building and maintaining the main web application that drives their mission forward.

Responsibilities

1. Front-End Development: Develop and maintain web applications using React with Remix ensuring responsive and performant web experiences.
2. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership, assisting with code reviews and promoting best practices.
3. Component-Based Design: Create reusable and modular components that adhere to design guidelines and UI/UX principles using Storybook.
4. Performance Optimization: Optimize web applications for speed, responsiveness, and scalability, keeping an eye on performance metrics.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with designers and backend engineers to ensure seamless integration of front-end components.
6. Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, following coding standards and industry best practices.
7. Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, finding innovative solutions to technical challenges.
8. Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends and technologies, actively sharing knowledge within the team.
9. Collaboration: Collaborate effectively in a remote-first work environment, maintaining open communication and participation with colleagues.

Requirements

1. Experience: 5+ years of web development experience with a strong focus on React.
2. Expertise: Familiarity with Remix or NextJS with hands-on experience in building web applications with one of these platforms and knowledge of SSR applications.
3. Front-End Technologies: Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end libraries and frameworks such as Tailwind.
4. RESTful APIs: Experience working with APIs to retrieve and update data.
5. Testing: Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest.
6. DevOps: Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
7. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
